Lutz Landscaping has been family
owned and
operated since 1975.
Mike Lutz’s landscaping career began at the age
of 14 with after-school lawn cutting jobs. He attended Cobbleskill, majoring in ornamental horticulture and moved onto Nassau Community College where he earned several honors, all while maintaining a thirty to forty hour work week cutting lawns.
He transferred to St. Johns and earned his degree in three years. After a brief time in the corporate world, Mike realized his real love and talent was in landscaping and in 1975 Lutz Landscaping was created.
Mike has received several acknowledgements, including Small Business Owner of the year, in 1992, by the Village of Garden City.
Lutz Landscaping created, designed, and maintains the Toll Lodge in Garden City,which has been referred to as “the Jewel in the Garden.”
Commercial accounts have included: Dunkin Donuts, Galleria Restaurant, McCauley’s Restaurant, Bagel Man of Garden City, Reisterer’s Bakery of Garden City, Garden City Chiropractic, International Wine Gallery, Texaco Oil and Atlantic Oil.
Mike Lutz lends his expertise to various, local community organizations,
such as the Boy Scouts of America and the Bird Sanctuary of Garden City.
Mike is a former board member of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce and
maintains membership in several landscaping and environmental organizations.
